     Admission Requirements and Procedures

To apply for admission to the Franklinton Career Center, potential students are encouraged to meet with the center director. Students are given detailed information about the program, provided a course catalog and job placement information.

Once accepted into the program, students must complete an enrollment agreement and pay a registration fee of $100. Students can however pay $50 as a down payment towards registration and pay the additional $50 on the first day of classes.

Students are also given a tour of the facility and an opportunity to meet with faculty and staff.

The majority of FCC courses do not require High School or GED credentials for admission. However, the school does require all students to take at least one academic class per session.
In some instances, admission into a program/course may require an entrance test.

For example:

Data Entry / Microsoft Office

 ▪  Take the admission test or WRAT test (administered at the center)

 ▪  Take a 15 minute Data Entry Test to assess computer keyboard knowledge

 ▪  Take a five minute typing test (administered at the center)

 ▪  An entrance interview

Medical Billing Technician / Medical Coding Specialist / Medical Office Assistant

 ▪  Students must take the WRAT test. No High School diploma or GED required.

Paralegal

 ▪  Students must have a High School diploma or GED for admission into this program.

There is also no age requirement to enter the program, but students must meet the above criteria for admission.

Prior work experience or college courses are helpful but not required for admission.

Every student who enrolls into the program will be required to read and sign an enrollment agreement.
